Terms & Conditions

1. About the Operator

Lumaritho Group Ltd (Company No. 16846525), trading as LGL Ride ("the Operator"), is a Private Hire Operator licensed by Transport for London (Licence No. 11925).

2. Booking & Contract Formation

All journeys must be pre-booked. A contract for private hire services is formed only when the Operator accepts and confirms the booking. From that point, Lumaritho Group Ltd assumes full responsibility and liability for the journey.

Drivers are engaged by the Operator to carry out journeys on its behalf and do not enter into a contract with the passenger.

Where bookings are subcontracted to another licensed operator, this is undertaken in accordance with applicable regulations, and the Operator remains responsible for the service.

3. Fares & Payment

Fares are agreed at the time of booking or calculated using the Operator's pricing method. Payment is taken in advance via online payment methods.

The Operator reserves the right to:

  • Charge the full fare in advance
  • Pre-authorise payment where applicable
  • Adjust the final fare to reflect waiting time, route changes, additional stops, tolls, parking, congestion charges, airport fees, or any additional services

3.1 Additional Charges

  • Waiting time: £0.75 per minute (after free waiting period)
  • Additional stops: from £5 per stop (or as agreed)
  • Parking: charged at actual cost incurred
  • Tolls: charged at actual cost incurred
  • Congestion Charge and ULEZ: charged at applicable daily rates
  • Airport pickup/drop-off fees: charged at actual cost

All charges are confirmed to the passenger at the time of booking where possible and may be applied to the payment method used.

4. Cancellation, No-Show & Amendments

4.1 Cancellation by Passenger

  • Free cancellation within 10 minutes of booking, provided no driver has been allocated
  • Cancellation after driver allocation may incur a charge
  • Cancellation within 12 hours of pickup: up to 100% of fare charged

4.2 No-Show

A booking is considered a no-show if the passenger is not present at the agreed pickup time or cannot be contacted. In such cases, the full fare will be charged.

5. Waiting Time

  • Standard pickups include 10 minutes free waiting time
  • Airport pickups include 60 minutes free waiting time (from landing time where applicable)
  • After the free period, waiting time is charged at £0.75 per minute

If the passenger is not present after the waiting period, the booking may be treated as a no-show.

6. Passenger Conduct

  • Passengers must behave in a safe, respectful, and lawful manner
  • The Operator reserves the right to refuse service or terminate a journey immediately
  • No refund will be provided where behaviour is abusive, unsafe, unlawful, or where the passenger is intoxicated and poses a risk

7. Damage, Cleaning & Additional Charges

  • Cleaning fee: up to £250
  • Excessive dirt or spills: from £100
  • Damage to vehicle: full repair cost

These charges may be applied to the payment method used for booking.

8. Luggage & Personal Belongings

Passengers are responsible for their belongings. The Operator accepts no liability for items left in the vehicle. Lost property is handled in accordance with the Operator's Lost Property Procedure.

9. Delays & Service Limitations

The Operator will take reasonable steps to provide services but does not guarantee journey times. Delays may occur due to:

  • Traffic conditions
  • Weather
  • Road closures
  • Events outside reasonable control

10. Complaints

Complaints may be submitted using the Operator's contact details and will be handled in accordance with the official complaints procedure.

11. Liability

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability where such limitation is not permitted by law.

12. Data Protection

All personal data is processed in accordance with the Operator's Privacy Policy and GDPR obligations.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

14. Variation of Terms

The Operator reserves the right to update or amend these Terms & Conditions at any time. The latest version will always be available on the Operator's website.
